Weather Contingency Plan

As you can imagine, we have been monitoring the weather forecast over the last week and particularly the last 24 hours.

In reviewing many different weather forecasts and in consultation with local meteorologists, we want to share the following information for all Patrons:

52nd Annual Somerset CPAs and Advisors Penrod Arts Fair

The 52nd Annual Somerset CPAs and Advisors Penrod Arts Fair is a rain or shine event. With expected rain in the forecast, our primary concern is Patron, Artist, and volunteer safety. In the event of inclement weather, please seek shelter on the Newfields campus in the campus parking garage, or in the IMA building through the areas designated in the brochure provided at the gates.

Because it is a rain or shine event, I'm afraid we cannot offer refunds to Patrons who have purchased advanced tickets.

6th Annual Merchants Bank of Indiana “An Evening with Penrod”, Presented by TWG Development

This evening, we must move our An Evening with Penrod Event inside the Indianapolis Museum of Art for Patron, Artist, and volunteer safety. The current weather forecast calls for up to a 90% chance of thunderstorms, with possible lightning, presenting a safety risk for everyone.

We have long had an emergency contingency plan for An Evening with Penrod, a plan we are utilizing this evening. Though we are disappointed that the weather is not safe enough to hold the event outside, we believe our emergency contingency plan will allow us to make the most of a challenging set of circumstances.

An Evening with Penrod will be held in both the main lobby to the IMA, as well as the Pulliam Family Great Hall. We hope to provide a great experience, complete with music, food, and art, with access to galleries adjacent to the Pulliam Family Great Hall.

Patrons attending An Evening with Penrod should proceed to the Newfields campus, parking in the garage (as long as spots remain, and in the parking lot if the garage is full), entering the IMA through the garage entrance via the escalator to the main entrance.
